TALIA GARDNER 

Hey, Hi! Im Talia, and I pray that as you are reading this or listening to any of my songs, that the lord would encounter your heart like never before and that after leaving this site and reading about me that you dont exit out of this page the same person you did when you clicked. A little about me, I didn't grow up in church, I grew up in an extremely loving family, I'm actually adopted, in which they encouraged me to set goals and achieve them. Fun fact, I didn't like school, actually all of elementary, middle and High school was miserable to me. I longed for something deeper, and I didn't know what that was. After being in an abusive relationship for 7 years, a relationship that could've killed me, the father paved a path for me to leave.. not only the relationship, but the state of Colorado as well. OH yeah.. I forgot to tell you I grew up in Denver. Forever and always a WESTIE BESITE, go Nuggets.

 

God truly paved a way for me to move to Atlanta,Ga where I gave my life to Jesus,  my life was radically changed and touched by the hand of God. I started going to church and falling in love with him, however, I had been told that I needed to be qualified to be a worship leader, so for a period of time I set the mic down, and sat in my prayer closet instead prayed for hours and hours just singing to him and he was singing to me. After some time, the Lord really started to speak to me, and loudly saying I gave you a voice and its time to use it. Nervously, I obeyed and I started to slowly walk out of the shadows of insecurity and people pleasing, and started walking in the confidence and boldness that the lord has given me.

Most recently I went to a Worship school in Isla Vista California, where I dug deeper into my identity in Christ as Talia, not Worship Leader Talia. Talia who God calls his beloved, child, friend, lover, justified, redeemed, a sanctified saint and temple of the Holy spirt. Where I could walk in my calling in Christ while using and being obedient with the Gifts he gave me. I had the chance to write songs with some amazing people such as Mark Barlow and John Mark Pantana and if you've never heard of these friends, I highly recommend that you look them up, you will be blessed.

Anyway, with this same spirit and fire I hope that my music and anytime that you listen or even see me live touches your heart and your spirit, that you would be able to taste and see, how truly good the Father is and how much he really truly deeply loves you on a level that the world could never even offer.
